The Being Your Best for Managers Inclusive Leadership Learning course series provides attendees with the core components of inclusive leadership and the importance of leading inclusively to create an inclusive organisation.
Attendees will learn the principals of inclusive leadership, the cost of disregarding the importance of inclusion and inclusive behaviours, as well as how to embed inclusive leadership at every level of your organisation. This course is CPD certified.
Overview
These workshops for managers provide are 90-minute sessions. They cover topics such as unconscious bias, psychological safety and trust, self-reflection, leading others, communicating effectively, organisational leadership, creating an inclusive culture, and much more.
Objectives
The objective of this learning series is to provide managers with tools and practical tips as to how they can be their best selves and in turn create inclusive practices in their teams.

Session 1: Leading Self
Overview
The first workshop in the Being Your Best for Managers Series is centred on the manager themselves to increase their self-awareness in relation to inclusion and covers the ‘Leading Self’ theme. The following topics are covered in session 1:
- Insights into the various ways that unconscious bias impacts decisions and affects
outcomes within teams. - Knowledge and understanding of the ways in which unconscious bias can be reduced
within teams and for hiring. - A clear understanding of both psychological safety and trust, and how to increase
levels of both in teams. - Insight and reflections for leading self, leading relationships, and leading culture
within the workplace. - Understanding of the importance of cultural curiosity within teams.
- Attainment of practical tips and suggestions for increasing levels of all core
components covered in the session. - Direct experience and focused reflection through breakout groups on one of the
above core concepts.

Session 2: Leading Others
Overview
The second workshop in the Being Your Best for Managers Series is centred on ‘Leading Others’, and shares both theory and best practices in relation to creating inclusive leadership behaviours. The following topics are covered in session 2:
- Understanding the ways in which communication styles and approaches can impact
effective leadership. - Clear insights into the importance, impact and benefits of effective and empathic listening.
- Awareness of the pitfalls for critical conversations and gaining the confidence to
approach them with effectiveness. - Attainment of practical tips and suggestions for increasing levels of all core components covered in the session.
- Direct experience and focused reflection through breakout groups on one of the above
core concepts.
